What’s new

What changed in each release of Termlux, newest first.

  1. Version 0.3.13 ·

    Clear text after sleep

    Fixed

    • After the Mac wakes from sleep, terminals no longer show text with letters missing. If it ever happens, ⌘K → Redraw terminals fixes it without clearing the screen.
  2. Version 0.3.12 ·

Your voice, and every agent's own numbers

    New

    • Programs in Termlux's terminals can use the microphone, so Claude Code's voice input works here: type /voice, hold Space and speak. macOS asks once whether Termlux may use the microphone.

    Fixed

    • A Codex chat, or a chat on another Claude account, no longer changes the 5-hour and weekly limits shown for the workspace's own Claude plan.
    • In Review, a comment on a line goes to the agent of the chat working in that repository, and Review says so: Ask Codex, Sent to Codex.
  3. Version 0.3.11 ·

    A smoother start

    New

    • Making an account asks, if you like, how you heard about Termlux. It helps us see which places bring people who find it useful; skip it, and nothing is sent.

    Fixed

    • The Termlux download is notarized by Apple too, not only the app inside it, so macOS opens it without a warning.
  4. Version 0.3.10 ·

What you click and approve is what you see

    Fixed

    • Clicking a path in a terminal, or Open in Review, Docs or a finished download, opens only documents, code, images, media and folders. A file that could run or install something (an app, a script, a program) is shown in Finder instead.
    • When Claude asks to use a tool, the card shows everything the tool would be given, not only its name. In a command, invisible characters and long runs of blank lines or spaces are marked, so nothing hides below a harmless first line. Asking to read a file says Read, not Edit.
    • What Termlux keeps on your Mac, its settings and saved terminal output, can be read only by you, and the saved terminal output stays out of Time Machine backups. A link an agent leaves in its folder is never written through, and Docs shows only files inside the workspace.
    • Settings › Left in workspace folders lists only what has been there since before this update, and names the files a move would bring.
    • A terminal's folder is read from its shell, not taken from what a program prints, so a server you're connected to can't point the terminal at another folder on your Mac.
  5. Version 0.3.9 ·

    Every Claude account in sight

    Improved

    • A Claude chat wears Claude's mark in the session list, the palette and the + menu, and an empty chat names the agent it talks to.
    • In the + workspace menu, groups fold open and shut with a click on their name. Each group shows how many workspaces it holds; a folded one also shows its most urgent status, and stays folded the next time.

    Fixed

    • Settings → Claude accounts lists every account it counts. A workspace's own Claude login shows which workspace it belongs to; only an account added in Termlux has Remove…
  6. Version 0.3.8 ·

A flood of output no longer loses lines

    Fixed

    • A program that prints a lot very fast (a huge log, a noisy build) no longer loses part of its output when the screen can't keep up: it waits for the screen to catch up, as in any terminal. Ctrl+C stops it right away instead of after the whole backlog.
  7. Version 0.3.7 ·

    Your passwords are Termlux's alone

    Fixed

    • Saved SSH passwords and your Termlux sign-in are Termlux's own Keychain items: another program that asks for them gets the Keychain's prompt instead. The ones you already have move over by themselves at launch, without asking.
    • A saved password goes only to the ssh Termlux started for that host. A jump host's password, a code or a yes/no question from ssh is asked in the terminal, as ssh itself would.
    • Saved passwords with letters like č or ö are filled in correctly.
  8. Version 0.3.6 ·

Sync and paste run nothing you haven't seen

    Improved

    • The "Copied" note for a program's clipboard write always shows the last one, and how many lines follow its first.

    Fixed

    • When another Mac changes where a host connects (its address, port, user or jump host), this Mac asks before the next connection and shows the new address. Until you say yes, no saved password, ssh-agent or port forward goes there.
    • Sync no longer carries anything that runs by itself: a workspace's auto-start command and worktree setup, and a host's on-connect command and agent or X11 forwarding, stay on the Mac where you set them. Set them on each Mac that needs them.
    • In Direct paste mode, text with more than one line is pasted as a block, so a shell doesn't run each line before you've seen it. One line is still typed as it is.
    • The TLS library is up to date with its security fixes.
  9. Version 0.3.5 ·

The usage card knows which account a chat runs on

    New

    • A program's clipboard write (Claude Code's copy-on-select, tmux, anything over SSH) shows a quiet "Copied" with its first line, so nothing swaps what you copied unseen — one note per two seconds, and anything over a million characters is ignored.

    Fixed

    • A chat on another workspace's Claude account no longer shows "Not signed in to Claude" in the composer's usage card: the card asks about the account the chat runs on and names that login and its plan. Log in to Claude from there signs in that account.
    • Open works again — paths under your home, volumes and /tmp, from Files, Review, Markdown docs, the workspace folder and terminal path links. An .app, .command, .pkg or the like a program printed is revealed in the Finder rather than launched.
    • The token that lets a terminal open the chat leaves the environment before your own rc files run, and a workspace pulled from sync brings no environment variables from the server.
    • Settings: "Typing claude or codex opens the chat" covers codex too.
  10. Version 0.3.4 ·

Codex from the terminal, and a safer account switch

    New

    • Type codex in a workspace's terminal and it opens as a Codex chat, in that folder — like claude does. codex login, codex update and anything with an option still run in the terminal.

    Fixed

    • Switching a chat's Claude account after it ran on another workspace's login no longer fails with "No conversation found", and the conversation stays on screen: it goes with the chat.
    • Gemini CLI's sign-in now says what still works: Google stopped serving it for free Google logins and Google AI Pro/Ultra on June 18, 2026 — use a paid Gemini API key or a Code Assist Standard or Enterprise login.
  11. Version 0.3.3 ·

Your Claude accounts anywhere, and Codex in the chat

    New

    • Claude accounts: log in to an account once, then use it in any workspace or chat. A chat that isn't signed in offers the accounts this Mac already has; ··· › Claude account… switches a chat to another one and the conversation goes on; Workspace settings › Agent & startup picks a workspace's.
    • Other agents in the chat: + › Other agents opens a chat with Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Qwen Code or goose — the same chat, with approvals, diffs and the plan. One that isn't installed says how to install it.

    Improved

    • New workspace: the agents' own icons — Claude, Codex, Cursor — instead of letters.

    Fixed

    • Claude Code missing: the chat offers Install Claude Code, typed into the terminal where you can watch it, then Try again.
  12. Version 0.3.2 ·

Claude Code found where npm installed it

    Fixed

    • Chats: Claude Code installed with npm (under nvm, Volta, Bun, pnpm and others) is found even when your shell's setup is slow, as on the first start after installing Termlux — no more “Claude Code isn't installed”.
  13. Version 0.3.1 ·

A 14-day free trial, archive and your own order

    New

    • Free trial: every account gets 14 days with everything Termlux does, no card needed. Settings › Account shows how many days are left, and the last three days remind you once a day. After it, Pro or Team keeps Termlux going — your workspaces, chats and settings stay as they are.
    • Archive: right-click a workspace › Archive — out of Home and the pickers, kept as it is. Archived at the end of Home brings it back.
    • Duplicate: right-click a workspace › Duplicate — its folder, settings, environment variables and layout, under a new name. Its Claude signs in on its own.
    • Your order: pick it in Home's sort menu, then drag workspaces into place, or move one with ⌥⌘↑↓.
    • Delete past chats: in Resume a conversation…, a row's bin or ⌘⌫ — or ⌘-click several. Undo puts them back.

    Improved

    • Hosts: select several with ⌘-click, ⇧-click or ⌘A, then move them to a group or delete them at once.
    • Plan ended: when the trial or a plan runs out, Termlux says so plainly, with Get Pro and “I've paid — check again”.
  14. Version 0.3.0 ·

Several Claudes at once, team boards and Pro

    New

    • Worktrees: several Claudes on one project — a chat or a task in its own git worktree, on its own branch. Finished work waits in To review: try it, merge it or send it back.
    • Tasks in parallel: Claude works through up to 5 to-dos at once.
    • Team boards: share a workspace's task board with other people, live.
    • Search past chats: ⌘⇧F finds them in every workspace and Claude account.
    • Usage: what a chat or a task used, in tokens and roughly in money. Near a plan limit, Termlux can start the work when the limit resets.
    • Workspace groups: make one on Home, move workspaces into it, rename it or ungroup it.
    • Select several: pick workspaces or task cards and act on them at once.
    • Recently deleted: a deleted workspace waits 30 days, with its Claude login, chats and shell history — restore it from Settings.
    • Sign in with a code: your email and a 6-digit code. A forgotten password gets a reset link.
    • Termlux Pro: unlimited workspaces, sync between up to 3 Macs and team boards, from Settings › Account.

    Improved

    • Hosts: Hosts, Port forwarding and Keychain in one place, laid out like System Settings.
    • Terminal: a workspace's terminal is a normal terminal again — Docker, git, SSH and 1Password find your settings.
    • Notifications: they say what's needed, like “Allow Bash: npm test?”, with secrets masked.
    • Calm design: one design, a new icon, What's new after every update and Report a problem in the app.

    Fixed

    • Two copies of Termlux no longer sign each other out; long names fit, and every switch looks like macOS's.
  15. Version 0.2.0 ·

Claude as a chat, task boards, a calm design

    New

    • Claude Code as a chat you can read: images, usage limits, background tasks — type claude in a terminal.
    • A task board in every workspace, which Claude works through — shared through git, synced between your Macs.
    • The Calm design: blocks you can move, layouts, Review with line staging, and Files, SFTP-only servers too.

    Improved

    • Workspaces sync to your other Macs only when you share them.

Termlux keeps itself up to date. Download the latest version, or report a problem.
