Your account and your Macs
Your free trial and plans, the Macs on your account, and how to move Termlux from one Mac to another.
Free trial and plans
Termlux is free for 14 days from your first sign-in: everything it does, on up to two Macs, with no card needed. To keep using it after that, get Pro or Team on your account's Plan page; both add a third Mac. When the trial ends without a plan, the app asks you to get one, and your workspaces and files stay on your Mac.
Your Macs
Every Mac you sign in on is activated on your account and uses one of its slots: two during the trial, three with Pro or Team. See them on the website, in Your Macs: each with its app version and when it was last seen.
Deactivate a Mac
To free a slot for another Mac, deactivate one you no longer use:
- On the Mac itself: Settings › Account › This Mac › Deactivate…. Termlux asks you to activate the Mac again before you can use it there.
- From anywhere: on the website, in Your Macs, click Deactivate next to it. Use this for a Mac you've sold, wiped or lost.
Move to a new Mac
1. On the old Mac, deactivate it (or do it later on the website).
2. On the new Mac, install Termlux and sign in with the same email.
3. Workspaces you shared, their task boards and your SSH hosts appear by themselves. If a workspace's folder isn't on the new Mac yet, it says Not on this Mac: clone or copy the project, then choose where it is.
What doesn't come along: your files (copy or clone your projects), SSH keys, host passwords, environment variables, settings, and saved prompts (export them first).
Your profile
On the website, in your account, you can change your name and, if you use one, your password. Your email address is how you sign in.
To have your account and its data deleted, see your rights in the Privacy Policy.
